FAMSPA CONCEPT

The concept is clear. Keep musicians play music. Keep composers, arrangers and songwriters write songs and music. Keep singers sing those wonderful songs. And keep entertainers and performers entertain us  and perform for us. One of the most effective and practical ways to accomplish this, is to keep those creative minds and souls working and producing. But to do so, they need our full support. And how do we define support? Not by accolades, but with financial remuneration and a wide exposure, so the public will become aware of their work, shows, performances, releases of their albums and CDs, and their appearances in regional and national venues. In other words, PROMOTION.

The Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing Artists knows about promotion and how to offer artists maximum exposure. It has also the means, ways and resources. And promotion should not be costly. FAMSPA's members will benefit from the strong ties it has with the music industry and direct access to decision makers in the music industry, as well as to publishers and editors of numerous magazines, newswire services and influential entertainment writers and reviewers.

History of FAMSPA

The Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing  Artists (FAMSPA) is a United States nonprofit organization established in January 2007. A considerable number of entertainment writers, columnists and artists felt the urgent need to create an organization that  could, and would, promote the quality work of American artists on a national and international scale without imposing further financial burden on them.

No country can survive if its art dies out. And no civilization will thrive without art and music. Performing artists, singers, musicians, and composers are the soul, heart, and mind of happy societies. Without full support for the outstanding work of artists and without public recognition of their contributions to our world, musicians, singers and artists will suffer, cease to produce and create, and eventually, will fade away. Human dignity and appreciation of the arts should not allow this to happen.

Thus, FAMSPA came to life to respond to these needs. Via its boards, committees and volunteers, FAMSPA established a coalition of experts in the field, syndicated columnists, writers, professional artists, national and international performers, agents and promoters to offer pragmatic, rapid, and almost cost-free ways and means to bring the attention of the general public, the consumers, music lovers, industry supporters and the media to the work of musicians, singers and performing artists. FAMSPA's Concept and Mission clearly outline the strategies and methods it  implements to accomplish these objectives and reach its goals.
